To be Eligible for the CARE program you must:

• Be over the age of 18
• Be currently receiving CalWORKs cash aid
• Be a single head-of-household parent
• Have a child under the age of 18
• Be part of CalWORKs and VC EOPS

In addition to all regular EOPS services, students eligible for CARE may be eligible to receive:

• CARE Grant
• Meal Vouchers
• Gas Vouchers
• Car Repair Certificate for minor car repairs

Steps for the CARE program:

1. You must advise us that you are a Single Parent and part of CalWORKs
2. You must be an EOPS student and part of the County CalWORKs program
3. You must complete the Agency Certification form with EOPS/CalWORKs
4. You must meet the eligibility factors to qualify for the CARE program

For New Students who are interested in being a part of EOPS's CARE Program - Be sure to complete the CalWORKs section on your initial EOPS application.
