Students who have a history of delayed academic achievement or have had a great deal of difficulty mastering basic skills may wish to look into the special instruction and services provided by the Learning Abilities Program. Students enrolled in learning skills classes receive instruction that teaches to the student's dominant learning style. This allows the student to learn at their own pace and to gain skills that they can apply in their approach to other college classes.
Learning skills classes are offered in reading, grammar and writing skills, basic math and pre-algebra, study skills, memory training, creative thinking, perceptual motor skills, vocabulary building and spelling improvement.
